Cantopop Queen Sammi Cheng is returning to Singapore for an encore concert of her awe-inspiring Touch Mi World Tour. Other than the fact that she is still the reigning queen in the Hong Kong pop scene (when she releases one album, she becomes the bestselling singer in Hong Kong), there are many other reasons to watch Touch Mi.
Resorts World Sentosa
Despite complaints of the sound system at Singapore Indoor Stadium, Sammi has never performed outside of the stadium. This will mark the first time she deviates from the norm and perform at a newer location that is owned by Genting, whom is said to be on very good relations with her.
Hopefully, of course, the sound system at RWS is an improvement as compared to the stadium.
Touch Mi World Tour
The world tour itself is creating firsts in its own way. Sammi will be performing at London for the first time, and she is going to end the world tour at Hong Kong in mid-Sep 2016. Yes, when she launched the concert in Dec 2014, tickets for all 12 runs were sold out, so it is no wonder her closing in Hong Kong this year is one of the most-anticipated event locally.
In fact, Singapore could be the last stop of her world tour before she returns to Hong Kong.
Ever-changing Costumes
Her costume designer had been busy all this while. Other than the sexy segment (featuring 十诫、男士今天你很好、非男非女）, all other segments had seen changes in costume, even the opening segment.
Therefore, even though you might have watched the concert the first time it was staged last year, this is gonna be a different experience.
